Fan Art from the Forums!
We've recently had some amazing artists post some original Harvest Moon art on the forum over the past couple months. So we feel it's only fair to showcase their work on the main site!
Our first artist is Gingaspace who posted her depiction of Chase's heart event from Tree of Tranquility (left). Got to love the detail! Then we have Luxy who posted a beautiful picture of the Harvest King from Animal Parade (right).
Check out Gingaspace's art thread here, and Luxy's here :)
And last, but most certainly not least, is Kirika! Over the past year, she's posted about 100 pieces of Harvest Moon art for all of our viewing pleasure. Here are a few samples of her work:
Hope you guys are enjoying the new HMO Youtube channel, but we can't forget about the weekly Jukebox update!
This week we have the sights and sounds of Tree of Tranquility for you guys! Well technically just the sounds. You're going to have to supply your own video. I mean come on, what do we look like - a Harvest Moon fan site?? :/
But in all seriousness, Tree of Tranquility has some pretty nice tunes. Very calming stuff. So sit back, maybe browse the forums a bit, and enjoy some of your favorite background music from the game!
So we recently decided to start up an HMO Youtube channel! We'll be posting some videos for some upcoming Harvest Moon game soundtracks and maybe some new Harvest Moon game videos. The HMO Jukebox is still definitely the way to go as far as listening to all your favorite Harvest Moon music, and we'll continue to add HM game soundtracks to it. But you can listen to the music of some of the newer games (such as Hero of Leaf Valley, Wind Bazaar, and Twin Villages) over on the Youtube channel. You can also enjoy the custom game images that we've put together for the videos!
So rate and comment the videos and subscribe to the channel if you'd like! Right now we've only added videos for Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley, but expect to see more videos soon. :)
A bit of a sneak preview this week, with Hero of Leaf Valley!
Another week, another game soundtrack for the jukebox - this week we've got some tunes from the upcoming PSP title, Harvest Moon: Hero of Lead Valley! Many of you guys might know this game as "Harvest Moon: Sugar Village", but the official name was recently announced along with a North American release date of April 20th! The game is more or less a remake of the PS2 game Save the Homeland (the soundtrack for STH was added last week, go check it out too!). But it looks to have added new features and improved upon previous flaws, such as no marriage.
Now we're not exactly sure what all of the songs in the game are just yet, because we haven't had the chance to play it. Over the next couple of months we'll be adding some more songs to this album on the jukebox, such as the spring, summer, fall, and winter themes. But if you've played the Japanese version of the game and can help us out in naming the songs, feel free to send us an email at email@example.com
Otherwise, enjoy the newly added Hero of Leaf Valley album! :)
Just one HM game soundtrack this week guys, but it's a good one!
This week we've got the tunes from Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland. This PS2 title received positive reviews when it first came out, but it wasn't as well-received by the general harvest moon community; this, due in part to the inability to get married. Regardless, the background music in this game is really nice if you take the time to listen to them!
Hey everyone once again we have TWO game albums for you all this week!
But it only makes sense to release these two albums together, as they are Harvest Moon 2 and 3 for the Game Boy Color! The music from both of these games wreak of classic, 8-bit Harvest Moon goodness. Of course they are Gameboy games, so the songs can get a bit annoying when you're playing through the game, but for Gameboy games the music is pretty good. Plus that's why we have the jukebox, so you can pick and choose which songs you want to listen to, for as long as you want to listen to them! :)
Hope you enjoy, and we'll be back next weekend with another jukebox update!
[Jukebox Update #3] - Magical Melody and Innocent Life!
Surprise - 2 new albums for the Jukebox this week!
We decided to go ahead and add TWO albums this week just to switch it up a bit. First is Innocent Life, the futuristic Harvest Moon game originally for the PSP. It's a pretty under-the-radar game, so the music may not be as recognizable. But it's pretty underrated, so we definitely recommend you give it a listen.
The second one added is a bit more well-known, Magical Melody! Whether you liked the game's style and gameplay or not, I don't think you can deny that it has some pretty nice tunes. So make sure to check out both of these new albums in the HMO jukebox! :)
