Default All my laptop problems mushed into one thread.

Laptop: HP Mini
Hardrive thing: Windows 7 Starter
Date: 2009
Internet Browser: IE 8 (I think)
Protection: Microsoft Security
Problems: Many.

1. Downloading Crap.
Gah. I need help downloading Utauloid. I've been meaning to get it for a while, but when I tried to download it from Utau's website, it crashed my whole browser. -_- Anyone know how to help that? And no, I'll say this now, I'm not downloading FIrefox or Google Chrome or whatever. IE works fine for me, most of the time.

Restarting my browser gets annoying when you're in the middle of watching Lucky Star on Youtube. DX

2. Blue Screen of Death?
Sometimes when I start up my laptop, I'll leave it for a second, and then the whole screen turns to blue with white text. It disappears pretty much instantly, but it comes back. Sometimes it goes into a loop and won't stop. It says something like, "Dump Backup Disk Drive" and/or "If this is your first time seeing this..." And a bunch of random characters that are in gibberish.

3. Corrupted Windows... =3=
ANNOYING AS EVER. A while ago my flipping WIndows was corrupted, and I have to delete EVERYTHING on my computer. There goes my whole life. And my Runescape, Skype, Grand Fantasia, Trickster and more. DX Anyone know how to stop that from happening again?

4. Skype killing Internet connection?
Urgh. When I had Skype, my Internet connection was down to less than 4 bars, even when sitting next to my router. I had to delete Skype, sadly, and never look back. Please, someone say that they have an idea on how to fix this. I miss talking to people on this besides MSN. D'X

5. MMD = annoying.
Bleh. I have two versions of MMD (MikuMikuDance) (MultiModel/SingleModel) and I can only use one. Alot of people have said SingleModel doesn't work, but it used to for me. I want it to work again, anyone know how?

Thats about it, ATM. Wait till I download more useless stuff, then you'll have heck more of questions to answer.

Who needs YahooAnswers when you could come here?

IE was terrible, but it wasn't until I switched to Firefox/Opera (have to test my websites in multiple browsers anyway) that I realized all the crap I could've bypassed. Never looked back.

Chrome is the biggest mistake you'll ever make though, don't get it. Using it is easy, fixing it is not.

As for corrupted windows... the only fix for that is to install it again, BUT you can put the hard drive in a case to access your data from another PC (if it were to happen again).

As for MMD, have you tried redownloading it?

There is a reason IE lost tons of market share to alternative browsers, it sucks. They've certainly made some improvements in the last few versions, but they don't update nearly as often as they should.

For the BSoD it would be useful if you could write down information or even take a picture. A BSoD should give us some information that can help us narrow down what the problem is.

For the corrupt windows I wouldn't be surprised if this frequent BSoD wasn't related in some way. If this is happening fairly frequently I would imagine its either something wrong with the hard drive itself or something wrong with your protections and/or computer uses practices. If you go downloading lots of stuff from strange/iffy websites you are more likely to encounter viruses, and without proper protection those viruses can cause a lot of headaches and problems. As Rave said you could put your harddrive in another computer to try and recover your files from it, but if you are asking questions like this here I doubt you know your way around a laptops innards or how to slave a hard disk.

Skype should not have any affect on your computers internet connection. It would have no reason to mess with your wireless card driver or internet settings. Bars are also not a good way of determining if you have a good internet connection, they only measure signal strength. A good connection has many other factors that affect its usability.

It does now, but it always tends to slow down and eventually stop working later, and for no reason. Mine wouldn't even connect to the internet when every other browser worked fine. Lots of unresolved complaints of that on their help forum.

I haven't used Chrome extensively enough to say much about it. The only thing I use it for is as a portable browser on my USB drive, and thats not too often since I have a laptop.

The next time it BSODs write down the error code, it should be something like, 0x0000000A1 (the A1 will likely be something else, but you should get the idea) after words google that code, it should tell you exactly why it is crashing (or at least give you an idea). If not, join one of the many tech support forums on the internet and ask them there, they should be able to help you out.
