-_- I got told of by the assistant manager the other day because it takes me an average of 36 second to serve a customer.
I'm sorry assistant manager but you can't expect me to go any faster when you expect me to talk to the customer as if i know them, ask if they want a phone top up or any postage stamps, ask if they want a bag and then get made to pack it for them. not to mention when the customer has grabbed the wrong item or thinks its on offer when its not so i have to call a supervisor to check if it is, oh and if the customer doesn't know how to put a card in a machine that has the instructions on it. You try doing that in less time YOU NEVER GO ON TILLS!
(Luckily he goes back to his old store in five weeks)
Nope. That's the bagger's job. If I'm the cashier and I have no bagger and you come into my line with a lot of , you better bag it yourself.
Not at the stores in my town you would probably get fired. Cause the centromarts here bag it for you plus the bagging stuff is on their part of the counter. And at walmart they bag stuff too unless your using the self service station were you don't need a cashier. I'm not saying you work at those stores but just saying most stores in my town expect the cashier to do it.

The bagging thing depends on location I think. Most places in Nebraska will still bag stuff for your, but a couple stores are moving towards having regular bag boys or you just do it yourself. I don't mind either way really. If the cashier is busy I don't mind bagging my own stuff. So long as they're not rude about it that is.
