I don't mind if they get some things wrong. But just a few things. And even if they get a lot wrong, it's fun to point them out.

For some reason, this strikes me as hilarious xD

That depends on whether the person watching knows that it's wrong, Land Before Time had all different types of dinosaurs from drastically different time frames in the main cast alone. But, it's a little kid's movie series. You can expect it went right over the little buggers' heads. They're more concerned with the morals of the story, and appealing to the viewer interests than keeping certain species in certain time frames. Some kids have yet to learn that it's actually wrong to boot. Even if they have, they certainly don't care much, they're just too entertained by the TV.

To further illustrate my point, they even colored the characters so they'd balance visually. In what reality was a Brontosaurus/Aptosaurus ever pink?

Yet, it almost seems a shame to let certain details spoil what might otherwise be a decent storyline. There are times that the rules have been bent and it's worked, because it's shown people a new way of thinking. Even if the series was around for a bit before people eventually got it.

Of course if you go back to it later and have learned enough to spot what flaws there were originally, it can be entertaining to see which ones you find that you couldn't before. Or maybe you'd see something you thought was a flaw but turned out not to be.

Now if the facts being distorted are as plainly obvious as Super Mario SFX on xBox, then we have a problem. Even then, it's something we can go back to and laugh later.

Doesn't matter, movies and the media need to get real world facts right

Every single one ever. Yes even the documentaries. Screw you Disney, LEMMINGS DO NO SUCH THING!

EDIT: I normally don't mind except in movies where it's every other fact is wrong, the movie is trying to be realistic, or disaster movies. (Outrun the cold? WTBolocks is that?)

That makes me want to punch a baby, there was an episode of Scrubs where Turk is trying to play Halo co-op while the tv screen has Unreal Tournament in single player.

I'll have to disagree with you there. They don't. If it's a work of fiction they can feel free to mess anything they want up, because it's their creative product.

Hey, I love that movie. Maybe because I first saw it when I was about 12 and just getting into punk.

Haha, I probably would have enjoyed it too when I was first getting into punk. Parts of it were a little funny like the acid trip where he saw Satan in his house.

I dont mind at all. Thats what makes movies....movies! They're supposed to be an alternate reality.

I mean sci-fi movies would be really boring if they stood true to the facts of science. The directors know this and brake them on purpose. How exciting would Star Wars be without sound in space?

It depends on the situation. It can get tricky with historical type flicks and how one depicts one culture or religion.

That is still a great scene. "JESUS!" "No... it's me... Bob!"
