That depends on whether the person watching knows that it's wrong, Land Before Time had all different types of dinosaurs from drastically different time frames in the main cast alone. But, it's a little kid's movie series. You can expect it went right over the little buggers' heads. They're more concerned with the morals of the story, and appealing to the viewer interests than keeping certain species in certain time frames. Some kids have yet to learn that it's actually wrong to boot. Even if they have, they certainly don't care much, they're just too entertained by the TV.
To further illustrate my point, they even colored the characters so they'd balance visually. In what reality was a Brontosaurus/Aptosaurus ever pink?
Yet, it almost seems a shame to let certain details spoil what might otherwise be a decent storyline. There are times that the rules have been bent and it's worked, because it's shown people a new way of thinking. Even if the series was around for a bit before people eventually got it.
Of course if you go back to it later and have learned enough to spot what flaws there were originally, it can be entertaining to see which ones you find that you couldn't before. Or maybe you'd see something you thought was a flaw but turned out not to be.
Now if the facts being distorted are as plainly obvious as Super Mario SFX on xBox, then we have a problem. Even then, it's something we can go back to and laugh later.
