Try giving them items that match what team their on.
Like the Animal team likes animal items, and the fishing team likes fish items.

Wtt... That makes no sense what so ever. If you played Hm (si) you would know they all have individual taste in stuff. Even in (ioh)

Just rmb to talk to them 4 times in a row before giving them gifts
red sprites : wheat (loves) / wheat flour (favourite)
orange / green: pet food (cause its cheap)
indigo / violet : fish
yellow : fruit and veggies (crops)
