Tell me about RF3!

I'm thinking about getting this game but, I gotta know some stuff about it first. I really want to know about the story of this game, like your farm life and the villagers. Oh and I want to know if you can be a boy or girl. Because in the first one you can only be a guy so...please tell me about it:amuse:

Gonna put the storyline in spoilers so Vani doesn't have to read it.
So, you come to this village as a sheep and get adopted by this girl named Shara (apparently it rhymes with aura), who makes you live in a hollowed-out tree. You have no amnesia, and the entire goal of the game is to get your memory back. Every time you defeat a boss, you get some of it back.
Oh, and you can turn into a freaking sheep.
After propose a sea dragon steals your woman, and you have to go kick his ass to get her back, except he doesn't really die, which is dumb. And then you have kids.

Farm Life: You live in a hollowed out tree that gets bigger as you defeat bosses. Your fields aren't really that big, but better than some Harvest Moon games.
You have a be a pansy boy.

Villagers: The one that really sticks out to me is this fat ass guy who lives in a mansion. He speaks in opposites, and so does his daughter, Sophia, who has an awesome dress but an oddly large head. His other daughter is Evelyn. She has a money thing on her shoulder and makes clothes out of fish.
And then there's an old guy, his plain-looking daughter, Shara (she's like Mist but a little creepier), and then Shara's sister who has cannabalistic intentions.
And a really lazy girl at the grocery store, whose mom has an Asian attitude.
At the bathhouse are three women. One, Shino, is the mother and will send you out on combat quests. Pia is a mermaid and has a scary obsession with squid. And then there's this other over-achieving Asian girl.
At the Diner there's Blaise, the chef, Rusk, a very feminine boy, and Collette, who is funny as heck.
And there's a witch and her granddaughter.
And a forest elf, who likes to jump out randomly yelling, "RAINNNNBOWWW!".
And a shy girl and a dwarf at the forge.
Oh, and there's unicorn people who get pissy with humans.

In all reality it is actually a very good game I usually have to force myself to put it down.
I will say though I sort of found the after credits part of the game a little lacking but the main story-line really makes up for the bulk of that.

this is the only game in the rune factory series i too have a problem with putting it down! i married pia and have 1 child. how do you have children, and how many can you have?
