Ok I really want to make a Harvest Moon fansite but I know nothing of web design so any help would be appreciated

You might be better off with just making a blog or something as there are many free resources for making one.

Another way you can make one for free is using Wix.com it will have a little watermark if you don't pay, but that's not exactly a big deal. And it's for making a flash site so it would be a little different than our html site here.

There is also a lot of free forum hosts out there as well, could google that too and find a lot of stuff. But a forum would probably be something you make after running the site long enough and getting enough good feedback, just my 2 cents.

If you wanted to be serious the internet has tons of info about html and css, then you would just have to create the site and buy a webdomain and stuff. I'm sure you could google that stuff as well to get some good info about the whole process.

I was hoping to use html to make my site. I will try google and see what is what is what though. It might be better to usr an online web hosting service. Thanks !

If you want HTML Webs has a 'downgrade to HTML' feature instead of using templates. Angelfire and Tripod seem to allow it too but they're LITTERED with ads and have less storage space.

Thanks but I should learn more html before tackling that. I can do the basic linking and setting bg color and setting a title andbody but I cannot set images or different areas like a Main info section and a news info section like is what is on the main page of most websites.

yes I'm super on board with this! I help manage a gaming network called Bodhum so I can get us a domain name + web hosting.

I also do web development like HTML5/CSS3/JS/PHP, plus I can get us installed with a basic CMS. Obviously Wordpress would make the most sense... but I think we should really build a strong fansite with all the game strategies, screenshots, videos, full soundtracks, etc. Free hosting is a bit lame if we can just use the Bodhum servers instead(we pay for business class hosting)
