Building Collapse? How rare?

Okay, say I go to buy a building, and it serves it's purpos for a whie, but it collapses at some point. What happens to the animals inside? or if it's a storage bin, what happens to the materials? Do they blip out of existance? Or do they just sit there in a heap? I've noticed that it's possible for weaker structures to collapse, but I'm not sure how often this happens 0___0

Well yeah, better material means its less likely to collapse. But I don't know the chances. And if your building collapses with animals in it, they all die.

Animals in the barns die :( and I think materials just disapear. :(

My stone matterial shead just WAS GONE one day i was like OMG! I thought if it collapssed it would leave some residue behind but it didnt ;~; Im not even sure if i used the word residue right xD lol. But yeah...My game lags when i come out of buldings ;~;

yeah, and they only really collapse after a storm or rain. they don't just collapse out of the blue!
