But silly putty is fun. Making shapes is fun, and it's cool if you pull it apart slowly.... and compare to pulling it apart really fast.

Whenever I got silly putty I'd ball it up and throw it around the kitchen. And then it'd always get stuck under the fridge or the oven. :(

When I lived with my grandma she always told me if you left silly putty out it would evaporate and disappear over night. I wonder how many balls of silly putty she threw out over those years.

M brother is kinda stupid, so one time he stuck a piece on those brick thinies that seperate the garden area from the walkway leading to the driveway. And there's still a silly putty spot there. And one time he stuck it over his laser pointer not knowing that it would get stuck in the little hole. But he was younger then. He was like 16.

I had blue. I used to like to put it over the textures of coins or raised letters and see how the images/words would be backwards in the silly putty when I pulled it away. :cool2:

And snapping off little pieces versus stringing it apart really slowly. Fascinating stuff.

Mine never lasted very long, though. Someone'd always either smash it in the carpet and prompt parents to throw it away, or drop/throw it somewhere and get it gross. No fun to play with dirt stuck in it. :bored:

We made silly putty in chemistry! We mixed glue, some chemical that started with a "B", and food coloring for a very long time and got a lump of the stuff. It wasn't as good though and didn't copy newspapers. Also, the color would rub off on your hands. I still spent hours playing with it.

My Mom bought some so I'd stop picking my fingernails in class, had it with me in the Gym too, and it was helping, but this teacher came and was like "I don't know what that pink stuff is but put it away now or I'm taking it"

She took it, and I went right back to subconscious nail picking... and ended up drawing blood.

:D My cousin and I used to make a game of it when we were like five, throwing it up in the air to music. It never went under furniture, just nailed several family members on the head when we dropped it.
